https://citadelsports.com/news/2025/8/2 ... eview.aspx"In 2025, the Bulldogs are committed to showing up every day with a blue-collar mindset built on grit, effort and pride to deliver consistent, tough and disciplined football," head coach Maurice Drayton said. "The Citadel will define success based on our relentless pursuit of perfection, daily work ethic, and a pound-the-rock identity that drives consistent performance on the field."

Re: Aug 30. The Citadel Game
Tale of the tape 2024 season
I believe this is as good as it can get for The Bulldogs. It’s doubtful they can hold The BISON to 159 yards/game rushing. They will be hard pressed to get the regular 175 yards themselves. The Air Force QB transfer might put a damper on the ability of The BISON to cover a large spread. We are drawing the line at BISON -15.
Look at the points the Bulldogs scored last season. I double checked it’s correct at 258. AI assistant confirmed this for me
There’s just not enough punch there to give this team a realistic chance.
Statistically their defense keeps pace with The Herd but chances are good The BISON offense will break the mold.
the GAM is conservative and shows a 30-20 BISON win. I’m for sure not taking the Bulldogs and 10. I don’t have any kind of line on this but I’m guessing no more than -25.5 BISON.

Doors closing fast on the Citadel
Less than a week before kickoff and The Citadel still looking for starting QB
My guess
Quentin Hayes (Jr); QB; Air Force; The Citadel

https://www.postandcourier.com/sports/c ... 0cc12.htmlThe only thing we know for sure is that The Citadel starting quarterback Dustin Fletcher will not take the first offensive snap of the 2025 season for the Bulldogs.
Fletcher, in his third season with the program, will miss Saturday’s season opener against top-ranked and defending FCS national champions North Dakota State because of an injury to his non-throwing hand.

Re: Aug 30. The Citadel Game
We should loan them our QB2 & QB3 for the game. They would be a better team, it would be a better game and our backups get some snaps against a quality team. Win, win & win.

Re: Aug 30. The Citadel Game
Halftime.
17-0 Herd. No surprises. Two FCS programs playing two different levels of football. Bison looking polished, prime and ready to go it’s hard to tell how good they will get.
They are really building up the Bison. They are either. Trying to promote FCS, and it is an improving division, or maybe they are building them up for the MWC announcement sure to come, I hope.

Re: Aug 30. The Citadel Game
38-0. Herd pitches a shutout overwhelming the Bulldogs on both sides of the ball.
Well balanced attack from the Bison rolling up 520 yds.
The Bulldogs did get 100 yds rushing but the Bison defense is just starting the season. They should be stingy indeed.
Spectacular start for NDSU leaving little or no question about the QB position.
