MWC hopeful, Sac State has a roster loaded with FBS talent undoubtedly to make a big splash when, as an independent, they arrive in the FBS. As of today they have no games scheduled for 2026 and beyond.

Montana State @ Cal Poly

  Mythical Score Bobcats 32-22

Cal Poly runs a respectable offense but the defense won’t stand up to one of the true contenders on the list

UC Davis @ Northern Co

• UCD -2
  OU 44
  Mythical Score: UCD 23-21

Watch for an official line on this giving more points to No Co. Could be a bargain.

Tennessee Tech @ SEMO

• Ten Tech -22
  OU 62
  Mythical Score: 42-20

TenTech has on offensive machine that can probably cover any spread. They would be a fun game for The Herd.

Lehigh @ Fordham

• Lehigh -19

  Mythical Score: Lehigh 36-17

Harvard @ Princeton

• Harvard -15
  OU 55
  Mythical Score: Harvard 35-10

Hopefully Harvard will have to travel to Fargo.

Some of these teams being "contenders" here makes me throw up at how bad the FCS is.

NDSU Sagarin ranking is #44, SOS is 49 (Weakest in the MVFC) NDSU margin of victory is 33.

To find a weaker schedule you have to drop to #75 Tarleton and a SOS of 47.

It’s clear this season anyway The Bison could use better competition. The dream comes true Saturday in Brookings.

As far as the FCS goes Wolfie, if they don’t want NDSU to keep beating them by 30 they better step-up. With the Ivy in, NDSU will have the eyes of the fabled east coast markets for free and they will undoubtedly, if the present paradigm holds, be in Fargo.

Dominating the FCS is a real bargain in publicity and prestige for NDSU. They will do worse in the FBS on both counts, and pay far more.

It's pretty much impossible for 90+% of the FCS to step up, because they don't give a shit about football, never have, and never will.

You are correct Wolfie about a lot of the FCS but not all of it. We are starting to face FCS pride on Saturday.

One day the FBS will fill the Dakota, Montana, Idaho void. Until then *uck em, let’s see an offer and we can start from there. In the mean time keep the program rolling. IMHO there’s no better place for NDSU than where they are.

FBS exposure, national pride and reputation at an FCS price. It’s a bargain.
