I’m not sure riding coat tails is on their mind. More like they are eager to move up the FCS ladder if NDSU gets a suitable offer and feels they can go

If NDSU moves UND will take NDSUs spot in the FCS spotlight. They will be in the playoffs against top FCS talent. A month or more of national attention and of course the eyes of the fabled east coast when 27 Time national champion Yale returns. No way the Ivy is letting ND or other fly over schools have the division. Resources will be unleashed. They will get very competitive very fast. The FCS will prosper.
NDSU if lucky will find themselves in a coveted Cricket Celebration Bowl with a Prairie View A&M.
Be careful about wishes, they might come true.

FBS NDSU could win a game. #12 vs #5 in Football is possible. the top 2-3 teams are the dominant teams.

That was exciting! They have clinched the Summit auto bid a couple times haven’t they? St Thomas seems to own it now. I don’t think there is an auto bid for the MWC in football.
