You finally figured that out.

No I DONT WANT NCC 3.0
We are already in NCC 2.0
NDSU/FARGO need to break out
What about Mankato? Ferris is a state and fits too. Mankato State joining is just a reunion. Ferris State an expansion!
Ferris is good though. Maybe NDSU is afraid of them?

Stop trying to apply conventional rules to NDSU. NDSU rises to and sets the standard. It always has, to think anything else is shortsighted. The chances that NDSU fails is so much less than the idea that they regress to the mean. Don't believe me? Look at what happened when they stayed DII. It's not the big that eat the small, it's the quick that eat the slow. Staying still is regression
Like Ohio State NDSU has no where to go. They are forced to stay still. Is that regression? Both seem to be doing well.
Unlike Ohio State NDSU could move up. Someday they might. The MAC is the only hope now unless you start thinking GreatWest. The infrastructure is there.
NDSU isn’t the only team with lopsided records and scores. All long running top teams at any level experience that. FBS fans don’t seem to mind.
Baby can we make it in the long run?
You can go the distance
We'll find out in the long run

Not as tough as watching NDSU beating Murray State 56-0. MW or MAC or even CUSA. Take whatever we can get and then look for something better.
Maybe better than
Purdue 66-7
Miami Ohio 28-3
#20 Texas A&M 23-13
Stanford 49-7
Georgia Tech 31-13
#24 Navy 51-14
Florida State 52-3
#18 Army 48-14
Akron 52-6
Western Michigan 56-0
Marshall 49-14
Purdue 45-0
Tennessee 42-17
Host of others 35-something
That’s basically what Ohio State and Notre Dame suffered through. It’s similar every year for the top FBS teams. Just like FCS.
Big games are always few and far between. Of course NDSU could struggle in FBS playing 500 ball and looking a lot like un_? That would be more competitive, but more likely NDSU fans will see the dregs of the FBS, about the same quality teams we play now.

It’s embarrassing at this point for NDSU to still be in the FCS. WE LITERALLY GET MADE FUN OF
10 TITLES. 181-21. THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO DO

We could still do ur sister lakes.
Probably the only accomplishment less impressive than the fcs title at this point.

Top 20 in the FCS come from these conferences

Looks a lot like FCS. Two conferences dominating with nothing left to accomplish, I guess?
NDSU will get just as many games from the top 20 in the FBS as they do now
NDSU will have a schedule of its conference mates and a few OOC games. Think Mac or worse

Strength of schedule will rule the roost. NDSU won’t have it. If they do get an occasional win against the top 20 it will be as meaningless to the FBS as the Iowa win. Games will be as frequent too.
NDSU has a commanding position of national importance in the FCS. They are a footnote in the FBS.
Read the article on the split It’s coming. NDSU will not be part of the upper echelon teams. They are not our peers.
NDSU has enjoyed its 15 minutes of fame this year, let’s sit back and enjoy theirs.

Of far greater concern to NDSU and the FCS is the wholesale purchase of the SDSU program by Washington State. WSU is an FCS program now. If they do well out of the chute it’s going to make the FCS look good. Proof a despised move-up might make it in their big time.
The Ivies are going to be embarrassed getting pummeled by fly over country people and will up their game. They don’t like getting made fun of either.
The future for the FCS is bright. Let the FBS come to us on NDSUs terms. Stop begging and stop throwing money at them. In the meantime continue improving the Fabulous Fargo Dome, BB and revenues.

The way this MWC played out has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I'm moving toward the 'build our own damned conference' camp. The SD teams have proven the desire and ability to play with us above the FCS level, the MT teams seem like a logical fit. When the 'big split' happens there will be others to fill it out with, and there won't be a $5 mill cover charge to enter.
