STATISTICAL TALE OF THE TAPE: ADVANTAGE NDSU

This type of team could give NDSU trouble. The GAM keeps SEMO close because they put up yards. On an average day they put up more yardage than NDSU but play fewer games and score fewer points.
On defense they appear to be NDSUs equal
They fall short because they don’t score enough points. They are a dangerous team capable of winning most any game, but don’t. A good test for a re-emerging NDSU squad. The GAM understands this and keeps it close showing us The BISON may have trouble covering the spread.
By game day The spread could be much larger.
If NDSU replacements for Cam and Brown turn out to be average the GAM has NDSU. 1 pt favorites.

ISU-R getting into the FBS before us is almost as insulting as Misery State.

GAME OF INTEREST:
Aug 30 1pm
Montana State @ Oregon
EARLY LINE:
UPSET ALERT
MSU 29 Oregon 23
PROS:
The game analyzer mechanism is not necessarily predicting an MSU win. It is telling you Oregon is going to have its hands full and is going to have trouble covering any spread. Watch the line and odds. Las Vegas computers get confused by games like this. If they get it wrong and offer a large spread and palatable odds it could be a pocket of gold for the alert sports fan.
CONS:
Like NDSU the Bobcats are replacing a QB. If all they get is average, like the Bison, they are in for a struggle.

UPDATE 8/10: They not only lost Touchdown Tommy they also lost Scottre Humphries. He led the team in rushing yards & TDs. Between the 2 they need to replace 322 carries, 2,523 rushing yards and 31 TDs.
To the GAM that’s about 25 pts/game they need back. That explains why this morning they are 25 point underdogs.

A note on the Game Analyzer Mechanism
AI IMPACTS:
Using these much touted AI programs GAM’ing could be a lot easier. An AI function could give it the ability to lookup all the stats and fill in the blanks. It would be automatic just like my wife’s automatic washing machine, freeing me up for higher pursuits. If I can only get the racial bias and polluted lefty judgemental thinking out if it it’s accuracy and dependability would improve. Like most lefty’s it lies, needs a lot of supervision and oversight
My formulas are AI, they just don’t work by themselves. They need a lot of supervision too but the results are superb.
Emergent consciousness. First level: awareness and responds to environment.
My formulas environment is limited to the cells on a spreadsheet and how they interact. It’s awareness entirely focused on the information in the cells and it’s “instinctive” use of that information. If the cells are empty the GAM is asleep. If it could go get the necessary information on its own and present it and its conclusions independently the GAM would be fully awake and a savant to the task of profitably predicting football games. I would simply “flip the switch” to see future results.
But alas, I’m told I’m in an age group that doesn’t know how to use AI. People in my age group still use it like google while teenagers, I’m told, are running businesses with it. To that I say so what? Young Carpenters run businesses with their tools too. I’m probably using AI in the same fashion I use carpenters tools.

I'm hearing Ryan Babatz is in the driver's seat to start at RG.

I looked him up. It is Fabulous news. It occurred to me As much as NDSU has been called QBU it’s just as much a great training ground for outstanding offensive lineman. Mr. Babatz has all the ingredients to be another stellar addition to the Ram tradition.
A little background from 2024
Offensive lineman Ryan Babatz of Buffalo High School (Minn.) announced his commitment to NDSU on Tuesday afternoon. He is ranked as the fifth best prospect in the state of Minnesota, per 247 sports.
The Bison scored Babatz over multiple FBS programs and regional rivals; the 3-star recruit chose NDSU over offers from Nebraska, South Dakota State, Wyoming, Army, and North Dakota

How about Delaware? small population, no fan support at all....but East Coast, so maybe geography is an thing?
