Good BIg Mountain Broadcast today concerning realignment.

  • possible FCSw move mentioned were to the MAC and MWC.
  • the MAC is interested in Tarleton, Illinois State & Youngstown. Resources may be a problem for some. That might be slowing down the UCD move to the MWC. South Dakota State may be very selective if they decide to spend the money.
  • The MWC wants 12 Football. Toledo was mentioned along with Montana State & UCD. Taleton also but further down in interest.
  • the PAC 12 is finding the going tough. Main reason suggested is lack of money.
South Dakota state, although mentioned as a MAC target wasn’t included in MWC talk They also don’t think the Montana schools will have to move together it would be politically difficult to hold MSU back

With the FCS it might boil down to who wants to commit the resources IMHO whatever NDSU paid is a minimum for a MWC move up.

There is nothing wrong with FCS. Some of the programs are pretty good. It’s just not the same as FBS. Things are a little different up here.
