Jax State:
  • 18 5th yr

Bringing a well seasoned experienced team

A win for Jacksonville State in Fargo would be huge for them and the Sun Belt. Very deflating, the old splash of cold water for Bison fans.

Better competition is what Bison fans wanted. This is it.

There is interesting history and they are looking like a rival.

Jacksonville beat the D2 Bison twice. Once, in the playoffs, at their place, The Bison suffered food poisoning, lots of finger pointing. Later they beat The Herd again in another controversial game played at Jacksonville on a terrible field.

In FCS the Bison won the 2015 title disposing of an undisciplined seemingly poorly coached Gamecocks squad.

First FBS game! Lots of questions. It’s virtually sold-out. Big game in Fargo!

Go Bison!!!

Haven’t been this excited for a week 1 in a decade.

Definitely helps that I hate Jacksonville (not a) state.

It’s been a long association with these guys, all in big games too. In 1977 NDSU was undefeated and won the NCC ahead of Augustana and UNI. We lost to Jax State in the D2 playoffs. Big Sky champs Boise State and D2 independents UNLV & Nevada didn’t ever play a D2 Bison team.

I just got my tv feeds set up! No commercials Disney+, Hulu, espn and the MWC+ app should cover it!

Should be a great time at the tailgate especially with the 4:30 KO!

They have them for you this season including Hawaii,

Last year we were wondering if The Herd could cover 3 or 4 TDs vs The Citidal. Now it’s 6.5 pts! Far less certainty on Saturdays in Fargo but still a favorite

These guys see a tight game, physical in the trenches. NDSU secondary going to get tested. Bison running attack questions.

The JAX press conference. No doubt a big game. It’s bad it’s nation wide. Head coach wants to control what they can control. Sees the Fargo Dome as a big challenge. Clearly respects the NDSU program. We also hear from a couple of their linemen

The JAX running game us among the nations best.

They like UNLV. The GAM has Memphis by 1. We took Memphis .plus 5.5. Two G6 giants face off in Vegas. Here’s a detailed look at the game

KO is late. It’s a great candidate for early Sunday on MWC+ replay

Many of us thought the FCS was stretching it. The winning days would turn to 500 seasons. More competition.. Etc etc. For a while it was that way but Coach Bohls vision prevailed. He showed NDSU the next level. We saw for many long years what an FBS program trapped in the FCS could do. The difference was eye opening.

I sure don’t expect a repeat of the FCS domination but like Kevin and others strongly feel NDSU can be successful in the FBS,

First step Saturday. Wonder if Coach Bohl will be in the crowd?
