RE THE SPREAD:
The “Tape” shows the potential for a pretty good match-up. The GAM shows the Herd -18
Fan Duel has the Bison -24.5. We took Bison cover because the Bison power measures overwhelm UTEP and typical score as generated by the GAM point to a possible route.

One thing about the inevitable stadium debate is the gnashing of teeth by the small college fans in grand forks. The louder their muttering the more probable it all seems.
North Dakota really needs to step up and support a stadium for the Bison. It’s a matter of State pride.

The Bison BLitz boys check in. They talk Bison football, New Mexico, UTEP et al. They seem well connected and into Bison football.
The one score win was interesting to start. Apparently the Bison don’t see too many.
Like they say, “you can follow us on X, nobody does”

When Jason Eck said he liked bowl games but they had their sights set on something better it occurred to me the CFP are the only game in town. Bowls a consolation. If the MWC is going to stay together it’s going to have to provide a clear path to the CFP.

From what I can gather The Bison are pretty beat up warriors. They are definitely winners. It’s a new league, much better. More physical than FCS, talent at more positions. None of these teams has collapsed. FCS teams fold. Lots more depth. Very little drop-off in the rosters.

It’s been a long time since McFeely was correct. He has the Bison Stadium issue absolutely in focus. Grand Forks getting past money isn’t part of the issue at all. It’s the cry of the jealous and petty. I’m glad Grand Forks got relief funds. It was a state issue and it was a necessary investment.
The Bison Stadium is a State issue. It’s the States image. A necessary investment. Fargo and NDSU have done well with the Fargo Dome. With or without the Bison it’s a valuable asset.
The new Stadium is bigger than both NDSU and Fargo. It’s a State/regional issue. It’s a matter of the States image which is the pride of all true North Dakotans.

A playoff spot is certainly the goal, and once we attain that a playoff win is the goal, and once we attain that winning it all is the goal. And then winning it again and so on. All that being said, a bowl game is not a mere consolation prize. Achieving bowl eligibility is one hell of accomplishment. Teams/fans don't like failing to achieve that benchmark. Just ask the Wisconsins/Nebraskas of the world.
My point is that there will be many seasons where our Bison will fail to earn a playoff spot, but that is no reason to poo poo on what they did earn.
I get it. Yeah, we are two pick sixes away from being frontrunners for a playoff spot. We all can agree that the present team is too incomplete to belong in the playoffs. Nonetheless, they very much have earned a post-season appearance which is way cooler that our regular FCS playoff run! Let's enjoy it. It's not a paltry consolation prize.

All good points User1.
Right now The MWC provides access to the bowls and CFP. I wouldn’t want to see that change.
Ecks comment struck me as more a realization of the growing importance and stature of the CFP over the bowls, not a put down.
GAME DAY! GO BISON!t

RE OVER/UNDER
The odds makers are good. UTEP under performs and averages 17. Average scoring indicates 27-17. Over/Under is 43.5
