The founder of the UND Center for Innovation and longtime friend of Holmberg replied that an adolescent boy in a photo Holmberg sent was "too young for me," according to investigative reports

Late last century UND wanted/needed a new hockey rink. They couldn’t get conventional financing or raise the money

1). UND accepts gift of $250 million hockey rink from the Englestads
2). Englestads use the gift to off-set huge real estate gains shielding them from fed taxes
3). Englestads, in order to get their money back, demand and receive a very generous sports management contract from UND. This company receives among other things, 50% of the UND ticket revenues. Over the 30 year contract they will more than recover their $250 million.
The sports management project is in effect the annual payment by UND for the hockey rink. This so-called gift was simply a tax-funded financing agreement for a new hockey rink. Englestads acted as the bank.
The agreement has financially hamstrung UND athletics bringing them to the diminished state we find them in today
